FS12

DNV approved control architecture for certified marine fire protection

FS12 is the control and monitoring platform for fixed aerosol fire suppression systems in IMO-based installations.

The system continuously supervises:

  • Dual 24V power supplies
  • Detector circuits
  • Aerosol activation loops
  • External control functions
  • Each circuit is actively monitored to detect faults, disconnections or voltage deviations. All system states are clearly indicated and logged, ensuring transparency for operators and surveyors.
  • FS12 provides controlled activation sequencing, ventilation shutdown control and structured fault diagnostics — supporting installations where documentation and classification compliance are mandatory.

Approved by DNV in accordance with IMO MSC.1/Circ.1270.

Quality equals safety.

The control and monitoring layer

In a certified aerosol fire suppression system, performance depends on more than individual components. It depends on how they are controlled and verified.

FS12 acts as the control layer between:

  • Detection devices
  • Alarm and warning equipment
  • Aerosol generators
  • Vessel power supply

The platform ensures that all components function together in accordance with maritime requirements — with continuous supervision and documented system status. The platform ensures that all components function together in accordance with maritime requirements — with continuous supervision and documented system status.

Continuous supervision and fault transparency

FS12 continuously monitors:

  • Dual independent 24V power supplies
  • Detector loop integrity
  • Aerosol activation loops
  • External control inputs

Voltage deviations, disconnections or internal irregularities are immediately indicated and logged.

Structured fault diagnostics support fast troubleshooting and transparent reporting to surveyors and authorities.

Controlled activation sequence

FS12 manages the activation process in clearly defined stages:

  1. Detection and alarm confirmation
  2. Pre-release warning period
  3. Ventilation shutdown
  4. Controlled aerosol activation
  5. System state verification

This structured approach ensures predictable system behaviour and safe operational handling.
